Functional Full Size Gladiator Helmet

This is a full size helmet that covers the entire upper half of your head. Totally hand-fabricated to fit head sizes up to 23.5"-24" in circumference (measured just above the brow line and all the way around the head). The back of the helmet has attached cloth strips that have been cut and painted in a woodland pattern to help break up your silhouette which is always helpful when hiding from the enemy while setting up a well planned ambush. Rugged fiberglass construction makes this a durable helmet that is designed to be worn whenever your inner gladiator spirit needs to emerge or to simply help you finish off your gladiator, spartan, viking, warrior, or marauder costume! Also could be used as a great mascot helmet!

This is a functional helmet but it's not a toy for children nor would I recommend driving with it while on your head. Other than that only your imagination is limiting you to how you could use it.

This is the same helmet but under different lighting which causes a color shift to emerge.

For more info about this helmet please see my Etsy shop.

Large American Bulldog Mascot Underway

Because I normally only show my finished mascots I'm often asked how I get my mascot sculptures to their final finish. So, in response to this often asked question, I'm showing during this and the last posting, the mascots while they are going thru their foam sculpting phase where I'll block out their basic anatomy while trying to get the pose that I'm looking for. Most of the time, I'll end up adding and subtracting foam many times until I'm ready to go to the next fabrication phase. Pictured above the rough-in phase with the chainsaw and files are almost complete on the model. This is a fairly large sculpture with the overall length at approximately four feet. Once I get what I want the clay will be applied as I prepare for the final sculpting/fabrication.

Here is the face after refining the clay sculpt. The collar has been beefed up and detailed. Now to the rest of the body.

Final Detail Foam Carving On Gigantic Bulldog Mascot

The Dawg has come out of his house for awhile. I built this building a few feet away from my main shop a few months ago especially with large mascot fabricating in mind. It allows me to enjoy the nice sunny days and when it gets rainy or cold I just go inside and walk around on platforms. I'd much rather be out in the open with the sunshine though!

What a beautiful and kind face!

Making a few detail cuts with an electric chainsaw.

Doing the same detailing again. Just in case you might be wondering what's that thing protruding from the dog collar under the jaw ... it's a small crowbar that I use to attach to the stainless steel armature tubing that comes out there so that I can wheel the dawg in and out of his temporary house.

I'm doing a little filing with a stainless steel microplane cutter. This model has already been scanned and CNC'd to give me the primary form from which I'll work from as the fabrication/sculpting/detailing phases progress.
