I was commissioned a few months ago for a mascot statue that was to be actually put to use at football games next year. When I designed the piece my overall conception was that a Patriot soldier would be taking cover behind a column preparing to return fire.
The school's plan for this mascot statue is to build a special cart in which the mascot sculpture is going to be pulled around on the sidelines during the game.
That's a pretty cool idea!
Maybe an undefeated season for next year's football team will be the result! There is still a few touch-ups to be finished and the lettering may be replaced with the same bronze color as the rest of the mascot statue but for the most part this hand buffed and polished one-of-a-kind Patriot mascot statue is a finished piece.
